"The curious paradox is that when I can accept myself just as I am, then I can change" Carl Rogers
Do you feel that you`re floating, you`re moving through life slightly above ground, doing everything you need just to get through the day, yet somehow not fully here. Is there a greyness or darkness that is lurking that you can`t quite shift or make sense of?
My work as a counsellor is about creating space between you and me that is safe to be truly seen and heard, just as you are. It is about inviting the past, present and future into our space with compassion and transparancy. It is a phenomenon, that when we meet with ourselves as we are, with another human being, we start to trust the parts we have worked so hard to reject and hide.
About Me
I’m Lynsey, a counsellor who believes that real change begins with being met exactly as you are. My work is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and the belief that every person carries a story worth honouring. I offer a calm, steady space where you can explore your inner world without judgement or pressure, a place where your experiences, emotions, and history can be understood with dignity.
My approach is relational and humanistic, shaped by the idea that healing happens through connection. I walk alongside you, helping you make sense of what feels overwhelming, unclear, or unspoken, so you can move forward with greater clarity and self trust.
I have a keen interest in working with loss and grief. Both ambiguous loss and loss of loved ones. I work closely with feelings of shame which often present as imposter syndrome, anger, avoidance, sadness, withdrawal, feeling flawed and not good enough.
